Early Learning Centre Director

INTRODUCTION

    ROLE PURPOSE

    HILLS is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, strategic and visionary educator to lead and manage our Early Learning Centre (ELC). The ELC Director oversees the day-to-day operations, staff management, curriculum development, community engagement, and compliance of the Centre, ensuring a safe, stimulating environment aligned with the HILLS’ Vision, Mission and Values. They will be an experienced and knowledgeable practitioner in current research and trends in early childhood education. The ELC Director will have a good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and possess qualifications, skills and experience appropriate to the position. They will have the unique opportunity to shape and influence the future of the Centre, including its structure and direction.

    The ELC Director will collaborate with the Head of Primary and Head of Secondary to ensure a seamless one school approach. Other key relationships include the Business Manager, Director of People, Culture and Operations and OSHC Director.

    PREREQUISITES

    • Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia
    • Bachelor of Early Childhood (or higher)

    Permanent Middle Primary Teacher

    Full Time Permanent Teaching Position commencing Term 1 2025.

    Role Purpose

    Primary Educators will join a collaborative and thriving teaching team to create engaging and purposeful middle primary learning adventures for children. They will confidently meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students within the Primary years at HILLS. While working in a collaborative planning and teaching team, Primary Educators will guide and implement a tailored scope and sequence of learning which considers the unique requirements of students’ age and stage of development. Through a restorative approach to behaviour management, educators will develop intentional relationships with all students for the benefit of their learning and growth, while establishing and maintaining ongoing connection with the parent community.

    Events & Community Engagement Coordinator

    • Permanent position, 21 hours per week over 3 days a week minimum.
      44 weeks per annum (term time, 2 weeks at start of year & 2 weeks spread over other school holidays)

    Role Purpose

    HILLS is seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic applicant to undertake the role of Events and Community Engagement Coordinator. You will be responsible for the logistics of all events across the school, and overseeing Old Scholars and Community Engagement. This is a position with significant responsibilities and requires interactions and building connections with external providers, students, families, administration and teaching staff. The position contributes to the maintenance of a positive school culture where a strong community is of the utmost importance. A high level of professionalism, organisation and an enthusiastic approach to working are key components in carrying out this role. Out of hours work will be required on occasion.

    The Events and Community Engagement Coordinator will be expected to take significant initiative and responsibility. They may also be required to supervise volunteers who are involved in events.

    Role Purpose

    Hills Christian Community School (HILLS) is seeking a dedicated Chaplain or School Pastor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience as a teacher, Minister of Religion, counsellor, or in a similar profession
    who feels called to serve and provide spiritual leadership within a Christian school environment.

    HILLS is an independent school, commenced and governed by parents of its students. It is an open-enrolment school which has no affiliation to any particular church or denomination but enjoys support from the Christian
    churches across the Adelaide Hills. As a non-denominational Christian school, it is our endeavour to provide students with opportunities to examine their learning through a Christian world-view informed by Scripture. Our
    vision is to help students develop a personal understanding and application of the Christian faith, while assisting each student to discover and develop their God given strengths and gifts.

    As Chaplain/Pastor, this individual will play a key role in fostering the spiritual wellbeing of students and staff. They will be a positive role model, offering compassionate pastoral support across all areas of the school. Guided by the School’s Statement of Aims and Objectives and its Statement of Belief, the Chaplain/Pastor will provide spiritual guidance, and lead activities that strengthen community bonds, including Chapel Services. Through these efforts, they will support students and staff on their Christian faith journey and help foster a nurturing and inclusive school environment where students are Planted in Christ.
