The Hills Christian Community School (HILLS) is a co-educational, non-denominational Christian School, for Reception to Year 12 students. Our ELC – Year 12 Campus is situated on picturesque grounds at Verdun, which is only minutes away from the South-Eastern Freeway and 5 minutes from Hahndorf.

Inclusive Support Educator (SSO)

  • Temporary 6-month position (Term Time Only) for Reception Pathways Student Support Officer (SSO).
  • Part time hours – 3 days 8.45am to 1.15pm (4.5 hours per day)
  • General Staff: Grade 2 Year 1-3 (depending on experience) $49,117 – $51,264 p.a.
  • Commencing 22nd July 2024 (Term 3)

Hills is seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic applicant to undertake the role of Reception Pathways SSO. As the successful applicant, you will bring a collaborative, proactive and enthusiastic approach to working with students and educators.

The successful candidate will support students with complex learning profiles to engage in learning through play, to make successful transitions and to assist in the development of appropriate social and emotional connections with peers and adults.

Support Educators are required to work closely with teachers, parents and leadership as a part of a team to achieve individual outcomes for each student.

PREREQUISITES

These qualifications/certificates are required prior to commencing employment at HILLS and must be updated for the duration of employments at HILLS:-

  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect Certificate (RRHAN-EC)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Driver’s Licence
