Role Purpose
Hills Christian Community School occupies 19 acres within the picturesque Adelaide Hills. Students are immersed in nature which stimulates and inspires both creativity and curiosity. The unique backyard of the school allows the learning environment to extend beyond the four walls of the classroom into a space where students can learn, grow and play with nature. The Grounds and Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in our school’s commitment to providing a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of groundskeeping, landscaping, and facility maintenance. The individual in this role will ensure that our physical spaces are well-maintained contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
Pre-requisites

Role Purpose
Our unique, open planned and innovative Middle School provides an environment that encourages excellence at a crucial stage in a student’s educational journey. Students are introduced to the world of Secondary School carefully and intentionally.
The Year 7 Educator will confidently meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students within the Middle Years at HILLS. While working in a collaborative planning and teaching team, the Year 7 Educator will guide and implement an engaging and integrated learning program which considers the unique requirements of the student’s age and stage. Through a restorative approach to behaviour management, Educators will develop intentional relationships with all students for the benefit of their learning and growth.
They will have expertise in at least two of the following Core learning areas: Mathematics, Science, English and Global Perspectives (HASS). Experience in other subjects such as Health and PE and/or Christian Living would be an advantage. They will also be a Year 7 (Pastoral) Care Group Educator.

2024 Middle School Japanese Teacher

Role Purpose
The role of Japanese Languages educator forms a vibrant component of our specialist learning program. The Japanese Languages educator provides students with the knowledge and skills to communicate in the language being taught, as well as an understanding of cultural context and diversity.
The introduction of this new subject at Middle School is a direct outcome of both our Languages review and our established collaboration with a Japanese Exchange Program. This partnership holds the promise of future reciprocal exchanges, which have the potential to greatly enhance our students’ cross-cultural learning experiences. For 2024, the successful candidate will teach beginning Japanese at Years 7-8, and possibly Year 9 (depending on student interest), with the possibility to extend into Year 10 and above into the future. 2024 Pastoral Care Leader Year 10-12

Role Purpose
The Pastoral Care Leader will be responsible for modelling Restorative Practices principles to staff, students and parents while providing support for educators in Years 10-12 in the effective implementation of Restorative Practices consistent with the school’s Behaviour Management Policy and Procedure, Mission and Values. The Pastoral Care Leader will provide support for educators and students in regard to wellbeing concerns in conjunction with the Nurtured to Thrive (Student Wellbeing) team and support educators in maintaining the HILLS Way Values.
