Inclusive Education Specialist Teacher (Permanent)

  • Permanent Full Time Teaching Role (1.0 FTE) 
  • Up to 0.2 administration time as negotiated with the Principal

Role Purpose

To support the inclusion, access, and meaningful participation of students with disability, particularly those requiring extensive adjustments under the NCCD, across all areas of the curriculum. Working in the Complementary Learning Studio (CLS), the Inclusive Education Specialist Teacher will provide personalised, evidence-informed instruction in Literacy, Numeracy, and Community Studies. They will collaborate with teachers to modify the curriculum and implement reasonable adjustments that enable learning engagement in classroom environments.

The position requires excellent communication skills, initiative, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong decision-making, problem-solving, and planning capabilities, ensuring that teaching practices and supports remove barriers to learning and uphold each student’s dignity and wellbeing.

The Inclusive Education Specialist Teacher will contribute to the development, implementation, and review of Individual Learning Plans, and ensure all documentation and NCCD evidence is accurate, current, and compliant with legislative and school requirements.

Learning Enrichment Teacher (Permanent)

Role Purpose

The Learning Enrichment Educator is responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing enrichment programs that support the academic and social-emotional growth of students. The role focuses on identifying students’ unique strengths and challenges and providing tailored educational experiences that extend beyond their year level curriculum (Australian Curriculum). The Learning Enrichment educator works closely with educators, parents, and school leaders to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that nurtures each student’s potential.

The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of teaching and learning theories and practice, with a broad knowledge and understanding of the Australian Curriculum. They will be passionate about fostering a love of learning in students, creative and innovative in designing learning experiences and empathetic and patient, with a strong commitment to student success.

The role is primarily based within the school, with some responsibilities requiring attendance at external events and student competitions outside regular hours. The educator may work with students across various year levels and must be adaptable to different educational needs.

Role Description
This role supports the wellbeing of students by providing therapeutic, emotional, and social support to students. ELC Cert III Educator (Casual)

HILLS is seeking applications for an Early Learning Centre (ELC) Certificate III Qualified Educator for a Casual position, likely 2 shifts per week from 8.30am to 3.30pm. Opportunity to work vacation care during the holidays.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Certificate III Qualified Educator at our Early Learning Centre (ELC) plays a vital role in the care, education, and development of young children. Reporting to the Lead Teachers and the Head of ELC, the Certificate III Qualified Educator is responsible for supporting and implementing high-quality emergent research learning opportunities that adhere to the National Quality Framework (NQF) and align with the Centre’s philosophy and goals.
